Villa Blanca:  Just over an hour’s drive from San Jose International Costa Rica airport (SJO), eco-minded travelers from all over the world have reveled in the beauty of Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel, located within the Los Angeles Private Biological Nature Reserve & Research Station in the Canton of San Ramon. The hotel is ideally situated as a gateway to Arenal Volcano and the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Here, you’re immersed in one of the world’s most precious and complex jungle ecosystems — the cloud forest.

This boutique mountain hotel is nestled on 75-acres of gentle rolling hills, with well-appointed “casitas” and Honeymoon Suites, each with their own fireplace, and surrounded by acres of lush botanical gardens. Originally owned by former president Rodrigo Carazo Odio and First Lady, Estrella Zeledon de Carazo, Villa Blanca has become a renown and cherished Costa Rica destination. The architecture reflects the original farm village concept, with a welcoming Hacienda, offering guests exceptional Costa Rican hospitality, premier dining, a private theater, conference facilities, and pampering spa menu. Also quite unique is a replica of a 14th century Roman wedding chapel, La Mariana, with its hand painted ceramic ceiling.

Superior Casitas:  Our Superior Casitas offer you all the comforts of an upscale boutique hotel surrounded by a natural cloud forest experience. Casitas feature custom queen beds or twin beds with luxury linens, a living room area with wood-burning fireplace, bathroom with shower, free high-speed internet, complimentary coffee, and a well-stocked mini-bar; and NO television set.

Santa Juana:  Santa Juana lies between the towns of Quepos, the Canton de Aguirre, and Los Santos, the Canton of Terrazu, at an elevation of 500m above sea level. The population, as of Sept. 2014, is ?? , Including 5 students in the local primary school. There is a small chapel of Catholic origin, and a water storage system that support the entire community by gravity from natural mountain streams. The school has a community center and field for sport activities as well as and ICE satellite dish providing the only public pay phone and Internet for the school itself. There is Cell Range in parts of the village as well as the Lodge itself.

Each split-level Casita is 65m2 (650 Sq Ft) with high vaulted ceilings and panoramic terraces overlooking the National Park and coastline of Manuel Antonio.  The units are located on natural hillside terraces leading up to El Mirador restaurant and the Lodge Reception area. In order to conserve precious hardwoods, over 85% of the lumber utilized came from farm grown Melina, Teak and Pine products.  Included is a king bed and two sofa couches, kitchenette, and bathroom with spacious slate shower. Amenities include three functional ceiling fans, refrigerator, stove with range, microwave and coffee maker plus DVD movie library. Adjacent to the cabinas on the top of the hill is the “El Mirador” Restaurante and Reception with a the Meal Plan Menu included of Campesino recipes as well as separate “open” menu selection priced accordingly and opened daily from 6:30 am until 8:30 pm.
