Latin American Escapes

A terrific opportunity presented by the geography of Costa Rica is the chance to quickly travel from ocean to ocean. Start with a transfer through the banana and pineapple plantations of the warm Atlantic lowlands, then board a boat and travel to Tortuguero National Park – Costa Rica’s “little Amazon”. Fly back to San Jose and visit the Poas Volcano, then on to the cloud forest of Monteverde. Here you’ll tour the famous reserve, as well as several local enterprises such as a cheese factory, sugar mill and learn about the area’s most important agricultural product—coffee.

Next, drive through savannas to the dry Guanacaste region to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches, tropical waters and Pacific sunsets of Tamarindo.
