Built in 2005, the Via Australis is an expedition vessel that can hold up to 136 passengers in 64 cabins on four decks. Sail in comfort as you explore the seas, glaciers and historical sites between Punta Arenas, Chile and Ushuaia, Argentina (or reverse) via the Straits of Magellan.
You’ll discover Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego by daily excursions escorted by expert guides. Each tour offers a unique look into the wildlife, human history, and stunning glaciers of the region. Land and zodiac excursions offer a variety of ways to experience this privileged destination.
While on board, enjoy comfortable cabins that provide you with incredible ocean views and lavish decor. Large public areas create gathering spaces for lectures on all that you’ll encounter during your expedition. Excellent service, fine dining and regional wines round-out your memorable journey.
