M/V Explorer II Itinerary: 8 Days--Wednesday to Wednesday

  • Wednesday:  Arrival Cristobal Airport.  Cerro Brujo
  • Thursday:  Espanola-Pta Suarez.  Espanola-Gardner Bay
  • Friday:  Santa Cruz- Santa Cruz-Pto. Ayora & Charles Darwin Research Station. Rabida Island
  • Saturday:  Santa Cruz Island-Bachas Beach. Cerro Dragon
  • Sunday:  Bartolome Island.  Santiago-Pto. Egas
  • Monday:  Fernandina-Pta Espinoza. Isabela-Pta Vicente Roca  
  • Tuesday:  North Seymour Island. Santa Cruz-Highlands & lava tunnels
  • Wednesday: Loberia or Islas Lobos or Tijeretas or El Junco and San Cristobal Interpretation Center.  Departure San Cristobal Airport

Low Season: Departures January 8 to 14; May 1 to June 15; November 24 to December 15 save approximately 10% from regular season rates.

Children’s Policy:
  • 11 years and younger sharing cabin with adult pay 50% of adult rate. One discount per cabin
  • Holiday cruises: Children pay 75% of adult rate
  • Children accepted from age 7 and above

Single Policy:  Available on request

Triples:  Triple occupancy available in all cabins/on request

Communication:  Satellite phone connection and wireless internet. Additional charges apply

Diving:  Sub-aqua (a Galapagos diving expert operator) is providing this service during the days that we are close to Santa Cruz, as per our current itinerary this will be Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. PADI license and insurance for diving will be required. A minimum of 2 passengers per cruise is required. Consult us for additional charges that will apply.

Payments on board:  Cash, travelers checks, VISA, Mastercard or American Express accepted. A tab is run during the trip, payment handled on the last day.

Galapagos National Park Tax: A park fee of $100 per person will be charged to all passengers. Children under 12 years pay $50.

Migration Control Card: A $10 per person fee is charged to all passengers. This card is issued when you depart for Galapagos, and you will need to show it prior to your return flight to the mainland.

Airline tickets:  You will need to consider airline tickets from Quito (or Guayaquil) to Galapagos and return. These flights are automatically reserved with your tour reservation. Low season rates are valid between May 1 to June 14, and Sep 15 to Oct 31.

  • Quito departures:  High Season $425; Low Season $370
  • Guayaquil departures:  High Season $375; Low Season $330
  • Children under 12 discount:  approximately 50%

All itineraries in the Galapagos are subject to approval by the National Park Service, and are subject to change at any time with-out notice. Adjustments in the itineraries may be made without prior notice because of changes in National Park policies, weather conditions, or season. All changes are made to ensure the safety of the passengers and the conservation of the islands.
