El Calafate is famous for the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the word's few "advancing" glaciers--your chances of seeing chunks of ice falling into the lake are just about guaranteed!

Hiking enthusiasts will want to travel to remote Glacier National Park, and the pristine Fitzroy region. Long day hikes through glacial lakes, impressive peaks and rushing streams and waterfalls also offer excellent photo opportunities.
